Creating your workspace
What a workspace is, who owns it, and what happens in the first five minutes.
A workspace is the boundary around everything you configure and everything you collect: your leads, your records, your intake questions, your matching rules, your connected channels. Nothing crosses it. Two workspaces on the same plan cannot see each other's data, and there is no shared pool anywhere behind them.
Signing up creates the workspace and your account in the same step. You are not asked for a card, and you will not be until the trial is nearly over — see How the trial works.

What signup gives you
You do not start from an empty page. Signup applies an industry template: a working configuration with a business profile, the questions your bot will ask, the fields you store about each of your own records, matching rules, and a handful of sample records to look at. You then edit it. See Choosing an industry template.
If you arrived from a link with a template already chosen, that is the one you get. A link naming a template that no longer exists does not fail your signup — it starts you from scratch instead, which you can change during setup.
Who owns it
Whoever signs up becomes the owner. There is exactly one owner seat per workspace, it is created at signup, and it cannot be handed out by invitation.
Ownership does not transfer yet. If the wrong person signs up, the cleanest fix today is to create the workspace again under the right address before you have put real data in it — say so early rather than discovering it later. Everyone else joins by invitation, as an admin or an agent: Inviting your team.
Verifying your email
You are signed in immediately; the verification link is separate and lasts 24 hours. Until you follow it the dashboard shows a banner, and one thing is actually blocked: you cannot subscribe to a plan. Everything else — setup, the playground, connecting a channel, taking real leads — works during the trial with an unverified address.
That single block is deliberate. Billing is the one action where sending a receipt to an address nobody can read is a real problem.
Details, including what to do when the email never arrives: Verifying your email and changing your password.
What to do next
- Run the setup wizard — it walks through everything the template configured, one step at a time.
- Talk to your bot in the playground before any customer does.
- Connect a channel — WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger — when you are ready for real conversations.
